Scott is the Managing Director of the company and has overall responsibility for client relationships and reporting.
Scott is best described as being not your typical accountant, with his experience ranging from auditing to tax and business services. His clients appreciate the fact that he is a strategic thinker, always looking for the best outcomes for his clients. Scott’s strength in strategic planning, as well as his experience in superannuation, ensures improved personal wealth structures and considered succession planning.
Scott has an honours degree in accountancy and has been a member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand since 1985. Prior to establishing his own practice in 1992 he was an audit partner and corporate services partner with a well respected South Australian professional practice with extensive involvement in listed public companies.
Scott is the founder of MacKenzie Coultas Funds Administration, now known as MacKenzie Managed Funds and was also the founder of MacKenzie Coultas Chartered Accountants, now MacKenzie Strategic Chartered Accountants. In November 2015 Scott separated from MacKenzie Strategic and established MacKenzie Advisory, bringing with him his valued clients and key staff members. Seeking to create a more dynamic and client focused team, without the distractions of a larger practice, MacKenzie Advisory is focused on providing a boutique and personalised client advisory service. We leverage all of the key team members experience and established networks as well as the processes and technology available in today’s fast paced environment.
Scott is a registered tax agent and has extensive hands-on experience in providing professional advice regarding family business, risk management, estate planning and the administration of managed investment schemes.

Francois D’Hotman De Villiers
Francois has an Honours degree in Accounting and has been a member of the ICAA since 2004. Before that he was a member of the Chartered Accountants of South Africa since 1994.
Prior to joining MacKenzie Coultas Funds Administration (now MacKenzie Managed Funds) and MacKenzie Strategic in 2011, Francois worked in regional Australia in local government for 6 years, the banking sector for 9 years and audit and accounting practices for 5 years.
His experience and skill set support the unique nature of both the Accounting and Fund Administration areas of the business.
As Senior Manager in the new MacKenzie Advisory, Francois works closely with Scott to ensure an integrated and solution focused approach that adds value to all our clients.
Amanda Kennan MacKenzie
Strategy and Development
With a degree in Psychology and Industrial Relations from Sydney University (1992) and study in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona prior to that, Amanda has used this knowledge to underpin her understanding of people, processes and systems. She brings her skills and experience in Human Resources, Change Management and Technology to the firm and our clients.
Specialising in Strategy, Organisational Development, HR & Change Management Amanda works as both an internal and external consultant. An experienced project manager she has worked within the SME sector as well as the corporate sector to develop new business concepts, divisions, align mergers and acquisitions business systems, people and processes. With a commercial outlook and a background in Marketing, Information Systems, and People – her focus is about achieving successful outcomes efficiently and effectively.
Working in the accounting field since 1983, Christine obtained her full Diploma in Accountancy in 1990.
After commencing as an accountant with Michael Allen of Flood Allen & Co (1987 – 2004) she moved to Mackenzie Strategic (2004 – 2015) and now on to MacKenzie Advisory (2015) where she continues her work as a part of the client focused team brought together by Scott.
Christine brings broad experience from a varied client base with strong relationships. She can offer various accounting and tax services to all individuals and businesses and prides herself on her very approachable and friendly service – something her long standing and loyal clients will attest to!
Supervisor Funds Administration
Having started her working life in a stockbroking firm in London then moving to a Futures broker in Sydney working on the inaugural computer trading system (SYCOM), Suzanne brings a wealth of experience across all investment types. She has hands on practical experience in the pricing of all funds and incorporating the use of a variety of technology platforms to meet the needs of a wide variety of managed investment schemes / funds. Hands on in her role, Suzanne works closely with all our fund managers.
In addition to role as Supervisor for MacKenzie Managed Funds Suzanne is also able to leverage her seasoned skills as a bookkeeper to assist clients with cloud transition and resolving front line cloud client accounting issues. Suzanne can decipher the messiest of shoebox accounting filing systems and make sense of them.
Patrick has aBachelor of Commerce degree and has been made a life member of the Golden Key International Honour Society by achieving outstanding academic recognition whilst at the University of SA graduating in 2004.
Prior to joining MacKenzie Advisory, Patrick worked as a finance team/administrator/manager for a textile manufacturing company in Vietnam for 10 years. He moved to Australia to pursue further education in accounting and started working professionally as an accountant in 2005. In 2007 he joined Robert Page of Page & Co Pty Ltd and engaged in financial statements analysis and tax planning measures to assist clients. Patrick has extensive primary production tax knowledge and continues to work with Page & Co clients whilst he has joined Scott MacKenzie at MacKenzie Advisory.
Patrick has a broad background in the taxation industry for over 10 years and is fluent in other languages including Mandarin, Cantonese and Vietnamese. Focused on great client outcomes Patrick is a valued contributor to the team at MacKenzie Advisory.
Originally from India, Ratna started her career working for a stockbroking company as a Client Relationship Officer. After 3 years of employment, she moved to Australia to pursue further postgraduate education.
She graduated with a Master’s degree in Commerce and joined MacKenzie Coultas Funds Administration as a Fund Administrator in 2011 undertaking the back office processing and pricing of Managed Investment Schemes.
In 2013 her role extended to include Self-Managed Super Funds specialising in using the Class Super Fund Administration platform that integrates live data bank feeds with fund accounting.
She now oversees all the SMSF fund administration for MacKenzie Advisory dealing with clients and advisers as well as up to date investment portfolio management and information.
Supervisor - Fund Accounting and Systems
Originally from Argentina, Diana and her family moved to Adelaide where she joined MacKenzie Coultas Funds Administration (now MacKenzie Managed Funds) as Fund Accountant. Diana’s IT background and expert knowledge of Excel and other related software programs has ensured that even the most complex of fund pricing and performance fee calculations are achievable by our small yet dynamic team.
With an Advanced Diploma of Accounting and an IT degree from Argentina, Diana’s skills set, experience, and problem solving capability are used in both the Funds Administration pricing and tax area. Her in-depth knowledge of Excel and ability to develop complex spreadsheet functionality and formulas is applied across our client base. We give Diana the toughest of challenges in creating bespoke reports and templates which she always takes on and delivers!
